Microlights are go!

I bought Paul a flight voucher for his nth birthday - finally the weather and the temperatures colluded to allow take-off.

The first shot is of Stirling Castle, with the Wallace Monument in the back ground.  Also visible are the meanderings of the River Forth as it crosses the Carse, and the Hillfoots.  It's pointless for me to ramble on here about sites and sights, but for those of you who know the area - see below.  Click on the little pictures to enlarge - you might then be able to click again to enlarge it further.  Depends on your settings.

Paul is still slim - the suit was padded and heated by battery.  Cumbernauld Airport is a great place if plane spotting is your thing, it has a wee  cafe on the second floor with a great view of the hills and the runway, along the course of Antonine's Wall.

I can see Sainsbury's, the Raploch, the (very interesting) graveyard, Stirling Uni, the rail bridge, the old bridge, and the new bridge; Gallow Hill,  the rugby ground, Cornton, the jail, Causewayhead, Wallace High, Dumyat, the esplanade, Blairlogie ....
