QE 2 leaves the Forth for the last time.

There was an RAF fly past from Leuchars, at 5 p.m. BST. We heard it, but couldn't see a thing.  There was much rain and cloud cover.  However, we managed to spend the best part of 2½ hours just chatting to friends, and taking pictures.

She will be retired from active service in late 2008, to become a floating hotel at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.[2] (links to Wiki)
